Here's a range of air plants which will thrive in the same environment as your orchids. We have been asked for these many times so have selected a range of unusually shaped ones, some spikey and others fat and round - all are easy and simply require misting each day. They can simply be glued to a chunk of cork and/or put on hanging wires etc If you know the botanical names of these then please let us know HOW TO GROW AIR PLANTS |
This is a great gift for young and old alike. A mixture of 6 species of air plants showing various growth habits and forms. Spikey, curly, bristly and soft, they are all represented in this collection.
These are one of the toughest of Tillandsia and can get to around 10 - 12 inches
Tillandsia baileyi has glaucus green and stiff curly leaves with ridges running down them
Tillandsia Bulbosa. A marvellous whirley and curly leaved variety that feels like stiff plastic!
A marvellous whirley and curly leaved variety that feels like stiff plastic! - this one has lovely speckling
Tillandsia Caput Medusae. A marvellous whirley and curly leaved variety which is velvety to the touch
Wonderful stiff little leaves which are pink/red at the tops, has violet flowers too
This is a superb plant that forms strings of silver/grey leaves like a curtain. These are sold in a bundles simply tied at the top but you can equally 'drape' them over your plants - likes good light and daily spraying. The string lengths are currently approximately 15 inches and theres quite a few in a bundle (see photos), once established it regularly produces tiny flowers!
We would like to thank you for your continued support throughout the year.
We are now closing for the winter (most things are sold out and the rest are too tropical for sending out) and will re open in the spring. Although we wont be getting more plants in until spring we can still send out sundries.
