Pleione orchids can be considered spring flowering plants and autumn flowering - nothing in between! Most of them are borderline hardy and all produce lovely large (for their size) flowers in bright pinks, whites and some yellows

These are mainly for sale in the autumn / winter months as bulbs ready for planting. The best time to pot them is late December which is why they make great gifts - plant them up in the Christmas holidays to break the boredom!
